The palladium

the palladium is now my favorite venue! why you may ask? because it is the definition of intimate, when ever someone plays a show there you are going to be up close and personal with the band. seeing the kings of leon like this was an experience i actually got to see details on their guitars and drums you could tell they love what they do and watching it gives me chills
oh velvet snow <3

The strokes and the kings! 10/23/03

I work all day and make money to go to shows like this! shows that make me weak in the knees and make me remember why i suffer through hours at my retail job its all worth it at the end of the night when you're in a sea of sweaty people enjoying the music the vibe is intense and beautiful The strokes+kings=perfection

What a gift

seems like there is love amongst my siblings :) they gave me one of the best gift a girl could ask for concert tickets :) to see who you may ask?! KOL i didn't expect it and that made it even better the show was sweet i was a bit far away but that didn't matter the show was one to remember
Although the big size of the venue it still felt intimate in a way idk i felt lifted.
i love my sisters <3

2007

in 2007 i went to the coachella music and arts festival to see the Red hot chili peppers, i waiting in the scorching heat from 11am till 9pm to see them all the way up front. Besides sweating all my make up off and getting in fights with big dudes trying to take my spot it was a great day because i learned about a lot of other bands one being The kings of leon they were younger and more rough around the edges but that drew me in :) i loved how they performed and went home and got all of their music since then i've been a true fan i love them  :) i say everyone get holy roller novocaine and sit in your room light up a jay and just let it take you, thats the perfect night to me.

All Day

Today was a rainy and cloudy day and to my surprise i loved it! i used to be a summer lover but this summer was too hot even for my temp taste. i am now looking forward to this fall with longing to wear boots and high socks all winter long. i work as a sales associate and my job requires me to talk to people non stop, this sometimes grows tiresome but its okay because throughout my shift i get to choose what we listen to. Today was the perfect day for a whole lotta INTERPOL :) believe me tomorrow is gonna be just as hazy and cold, and i want you go sit in your car and bump some Interpol, you wont be disappointed.

listen to their new self titled album Interpol all the way through, it is all very good but i have to say i favor the last song the most <3

my favorite part of rainy days is when the rain hits the ground and it creates that certain scent, you know which one I'm talking about i wish i could describe it.. but maybe thats part of its beauty its indescribable

3 Days of mayhem

Once a year i get to go to one of my favorite events. If you are thinking about coachella then you are correct. It is a 3 days music and arts festival where a bunch of free spirts meet in the desert and dance to the music that hits unbelievebly good feeling chords in your heart. you get to get away from your normal daily routine and just enjoy all the great live acts under a piece of art that is both beautiful and handy for hiding from the harsh sun. I have been to this event but never for the full 3 days well 2010 was the year for me, the three days i spent next to my tent neighbors from England and Australia will be one that is forever embedded into my hazy memory. i saw acts like Them Crooked Vultures who blew my mind and made me dance like i never knew i could they were trippy because they have have members who are amazing in their own right: Dave Grohl  from Nirvana, Josh Homme from Queens of the stone age, and John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin, the Gorrilaz who i finally got to see in person instead of holagrams & Julian Casablancas. The hightlight of the weekend for me was seeing the lead singer of Radiohead Thom Yorke with his solo act Atoms For Peace. I love Radiohead they are out of this world and seeing them clash with one of my old favorites like the The Red Hot Chili Peppers was a definate experience. while fighing to stay up i tried to take some picutres and here they are
along with a little poem i wrote the night of Thom's Perfomance

"In the middle of a desert,
On a day that melt souls
Entangled with harmonies that stem from the breeze
This beautiful thing that fulfills our chaotic needs
I can see the stars here and their delicate light
Makes me feel as if I can take flight
Why can’t I stay here and dance with the dark?
Move my body around and feel it brake apart,
At the end there is nothing but the faint beat
Low sounds of humming lure me to sleep" By me :D
